Eurofilms are delighted to announce that we have just received news of our BRC Packaging accreditation. As of the beginning of August 2010 we are now BRC approved. The BRC Global Standards are a leading global product safety and quality certification program used by certificated suppliers in over 100 countries.
The BRC Packaging Standard was developed to assist retailers and manufacturers in meeting their legal obligations. It requires companies to adopt and implement hazard and risk analysis (HACCP), have a documented and effective Quality Management System and to control Environmental standards, products, processes and personnel.
David Thomas our Quality and Facilities Director and his team have been working hard over the last few months to get us ready for BRC, and their hard work has really paid off.
Sales Director Martin Palmer believes "BRC is another sign of our comment to add value to our customers, and encourages our staff to take additional care during the manufacturing process. BRC has helped us improve housekeeping and we enjoy welcoming new customers to tour our production facility, as we are very pleased with the new standards we have adopted".
The accreditation was pursued after requests from Eurofilms customers, including international food manufacturing businesses. Although Eurofilms products are not produced for direct food contact we felt that is was reassuring to customers to provide BRC certification.
Eurofilms can now add BRC Packaging accreditation to their recent ISO 9001/2008 accreditation, Investors in Excellence and Investors in People awards.
